Arrest warrant issued against Wasim Akram

Timesworld desk: A Pakistan court has issued an arrest warrant against former star cricketer Wasim Akram after he failed to appear before it during the hearing Wednesday

The court issued bailable warrants against Akram and asked him to appear before it on January 17, The Dawn reported.

Akram lodged the case in 2015 with Bahadurabad police station in Karachi against Maj (retd) Amirur Rehman and others.

According to the case, the major had drawn out a revolver and fired an open shot after his vehicle collided with Akram’s car when the former Pakistan cricket captain was returning home after conducting a fast bowlers’ camp at the National Stadium on August 6, 2015.
